Monday, 16 June 2014

Chinese shares were up slightly in morning trading on Monday, helped by selective buying of energy stocks, dealers said. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.16 percent, or 3.36 points, to 2,074.08. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, rose 0.23 per cent, or 2.49 points, to 1,081.85, according to AFP.
