China stocks up slightly
Friday, 23 May 2014
Chinese stocks were slightly higher in morning trade on Friday but dealers said gains could be capped by worries over the domestic economy and a lack of fresh funds coming to the market. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.06 per cent, or 1.29 points, to 2,022.58. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, rose 0.14 per cent, or 1.40 points, to 1,030.08, according to AFP.
