China to continue support for spread of education

MONOHARDI, Narsingdi, June 9 (BSS): Chinese Ambassador Zheng Qingdian said here today that his country would continue to support Bangladesh for the expansion of education and skill development.
Addressing a function during a visit to Narandi-China Friendship Centre here, he said he was highly impressed to see that the Centre was imparting computer training to the unemployed local youths.
Presided over by Executive Director of the Centre Lieutenant Colonel (retd) Jainal Abedin, the function was also addressed, among others, by Editor of The News Today Reazuddin Ahmed and General Secretary of National Press Club Kamaluddin Sabuj.
Earlier, the distinguished guest was warmly greeted by the students of the Narandi School through songs and music.
The Narandi-China Conference Centre was established with Chinese assistance for computer training and skill development of the local people.
Later, the envoy went to the village and was impressed to see various ongoing development activities in different sectors there.
