China Vanke HK shares rise early on debut

Property developer China Vanke Co. Ltd. opened higher on Wednesday on its first day of trading on the Hong Kong stock market, after it successfully transferred its listing from mainland China. Shares of the Shenzhen-based firm opened at HK $13.66 and then fell slightly in the initial minutes of trading to HK $13.04, compared with its last closing price of HK$12.41 on the B-share market before they were removed from trading a week ago, according to AFP.
