Chinese Air Chief calls on President

The visiting Chinese Air Chief Marshal, General Xu Qiliang, called on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Monday. During the meeting, General Xu Qiliang said the purpose of his visit to Bangladesh is to promote friendship and cooperation between the two countries and two armed forces. Mentioning that there exists a strong relationship between the two nations, he said: “We have similar views on international affairs and security issues. We have some expectation and aspiration about the future relationship.” Xu Qiliang, also vice-chairman of the central military commission of the Communist Party of China (CPC), observed that Chinese development also benefits its neighboring countries and appreciated Bangladesh support to one-China policy, according to a news agency.
