Chinese co to expand factory at Uttara EPZ

Chinese company Evergreen Products Factory (BD) Limited will go for expansion of its wig and related products manufacturing industry at Uttara Export Processing Zone.
The 100 per cent foreign-owned company will invest a total of US$ 20.191 million in setting up their unit and will produce wig and related items.
The company will also create employment opportunity for total 5017 personnel including 17 foreign nationals.
An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and the Evergreen Products Factory (BD) Limited at BEPZA Complex in the city Wednesday.
BEPZA Member (investment promotion) Md Moyjuddin Ahmed and Evergreen Director Chan Chi Wai Alfred signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
BEPZA Executive Chairman Jamil Ahmed Khan, Member (Engineering) M Mahbub Ul Alam, Member (Finance) AKM Mahabubur Rahman, Secretary Md Shawkat Nabi, General Manager (investment promotion) AZM Azizur Rahman and other officers of BEPZA were present at the signing ceremony.
