Chinese co YiXin to invest $7.45m in BEPZA EZ

Chinese company YiXin Bangladesh Company Ltd will set up a shoe accessories manufacturing industry in BEPZA Economic Zone (BEPZA EZ), reports BSS.
They will invest $ 7.45 million to produce annually 10 million pairs of footwear materials. The company will create employment opportunity for 1,509 Bangladeshi nationals.
In presence of BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, an agreement was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and YiXin Bangladesh Co Ltd at the BEPZA Complex in the city on Sunday.
Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA Md Ashraful Kabir and Managing Director of YiXin Bangladesh Jian, Zaiyi signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
BEPZA Executive Chairman thanked YiXin Bangladesh Co. to invest in Bangladesh, specially, in BEPZA EZ.
He urged the investors to start the construction of the factory as soon as possible.
Member (Engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, Member (Finance) ANM Foyzul Haque, Executive Director (Admin) ASM Zamshed Khondaker, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md Tanvir Hossain, Project Director of BEPZA EZ Mohammad Anamul Haque and Executive Director (Public Relations) ASM Anwar Parvez along with representatives of the enterprise were present during the signing ceremony.
Mentionable, a total of 32 companies, including YiXin Bangladesh signed agreements to invest in the BEPZA EZ with a total proposed investment of $718.46 million.
