Chinese embassy hosts reception

The Chinese Embassy in Dhaka on Sunday hosted a grand reception at a city hotel on the occasion of the 87th founding anniversary of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA). About 300 guests, including high-ranked officers and officials, diplomats and scholars, attended the reception, said a press release. In his speech, Chinese Defence Attaché in Bangladesh Senior Col Zhang Wei highlighted the rapid progress in China-Bangladesh military cooperation since last year, terming it the ‘unprecedented level of cooperation’, according to a news agency.
