Chinese envoy calls on Planning Minister

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Zhang Xianyi paid a courtesy call on Planning Minister Air Vice-Marshal (retd) AK Khandokar at his office in the city Wednesday, reports BSS.
During the meeting, they discussed issues relating to bilateral cooperation and infrastructural development in Bangladesh.
They also discussed the possibilities of monorail and river training in Bangladesh and waterways around the Dhaka city.
The ambassador assured the Planning Minister that China would extend cooperation to modernisation of information technology in different sectors, including e-governance and e-commerce and also installation of water treatment plant in Bangladesh.
