Chinese envoy meets Khaleda

Outgoing Chinese Ambassador in Dhaka Li Jun met BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Tuesday night. The nearly two-hour meeting that started around 8pm was held at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office. Party sources said the BNP chief and the Chinese envoy discussed various issues relating to mutual interest of the two countries and country’s latest political situation. BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee member Lt Gen (retd) Mahbubur Rahman, and vice chairman Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury, chairperson’s advisers Reaz Rahman and Sabihuddin Ahmed were present at the meeting, according to a news agency.
