Chinese restaurant looted in city

Armed miscreants stormed into Taiking Chinese restaurant in the city's New Eskaton area early Saturday and looted cash and valuables, injuring four of its employees, reports UNB.
Mahbubur Rahman, manager of the restaurant, said the miscreants, numbering about 20, forcibly entered the restaurant at about 1:00 am and looted cash and valuables worth about Tk 0.3 million (3.0 lakh) after terrorizing its employees through vandalism.
They indiscriminately beat up the employees and confined some of them into its bathroom at gunpoint, leaving four injured.
The injured were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
