Chinese shares inch up

Chinese shares were up 0.33 per cent in morning trade on Wednesday on buying of blue-chip stocks, helped by rises in US markets overnight. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 7.02 points to 2,105.30. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, climbed 0.49 per cent, or 5.29 points, to 1,083.49, according to AFP.
