Chinese stocks stocky

Chinese stocks were higher in morning trade on Monday helped by a record high in US share markets last week, dealers said. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.54 per cent, or 10.93 points, to 2,022.07. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, gained 0.61 per cent, or 6.18 points, to 1,023.87, according to AFP.
