Chinese team to remove faults in Raozan TPP

CHITTAGONG, May 3: A Chinese expert team has arrived today at the Raozan Thermal Power Plant to rectify faults and failures of the plant's unit -1 that had remained inoperative for five months. The Power Development Board officials requested the Chinese experts to look at the plant as the project became inoperative on April 21 due to mechanical fault. PDB chief engineer (production) ANM Asadullah, who is also in charge of the plant, has said production in the unit remains suspended following a severe vibration in the boiler of the unit on April 21 last.
