Chittagong, Gopalganj advance in Young Tigers U-18 Cricket

Chittagong and Gopalganj won their respective first phase matches in the Young Tigers Under-18 Divisional Cricket Competition at separate venues Sunday, reports UNB.
Sixty-four district teams are taking part in the first phase competition at 17 neutral venues across the country.
At Shariatpur Stadium, Gopalgonj DSA beat Madaripur by one wicket.
Brief score: Madaripur DSA - 138 for all in 43.5 overs; Rasel Mahmud 44, Nahid Talukder 41, Rakibul Islam Jony 3/21 and Ismail Liku 2/17.
Gopalgonj - 141 for 9 in 38.1 overs; Mukul Haq 52, Ashikur Rahman 32,
Nahid Talukdar 3/29, Mohinur Rahman 2/ 21.
At Bandarban Stadium, Chittagong beat Khagrachhari by nine wickets.
Khagrachari - 48 for all in 23.2 overs; Edison Chakma 11, Russell Ahmed 5/6, Anisur Rahman 2/10.
Chittagong - 49 for 1 in 11.1 overs; Anisur Rahman 20, Armanullah not out 17, Ziaul Haqu 1/2.
