Choosing companions carefully for success in academics and career

WHAT a student will be in his or her later life depends on, to a great extent, what type of companions he or she maintains. The selection of companions, for that matter, is important for one for what one wants to be in life. If companions are chosen carefully and with a view to building a good life, one is sure to enjoy the good benefits from the same. If companion is chosen wrongly, one has the great chance of being a loser in life.
How does one become a smoker? In most of the cases, it is seen that just jokingly a young boy or girl joins his or her friends and starts smoking. He or she joins the friends again and consequently becomes addicted to smoking. Later, it becomes easier for him or her to get used to other drug-habits. Here companions -the type of people a student meets- plays a great role for that young boy or girl to become smoker or drug-addict.
How does one become addicted to love affairs? It might simply start from the gossip of friends about opposite gender. It might simply start from watching a drama in which love affairs are discussed. By way of mixing with friends who talk about falling in love and about love affair, one may get interested in love affair. The bad companion contributes to one's being involved in love affair. As a consequence, instead of spending time in studies or other constructive matters students prefer to spend time in mixing with the boy or the girl he or she has fallen in love with. This greatly affects the study habit of those students.
If students mix with those who are studious, there is a great chance that they will also be studious one day. Studios students talk about texts, exams. By regularly interacting with the studious boys and girls, even an inattentive student will also grow great fascination for studies. They will start feeling like going back to the study table with a very enthusiastic mind. The task of studies will not be boring or unpleasant for them, rather they will enjoy it very much.
If students mix with those who are positive about life, it is highly likely that they will also be positive. Only students who are positive about studies and life may expect to succeed in life.
If students mix with those who are careerist, they will also be careerist. They will also fix their aim in life and will work accordingly.
Parents have a great role to play in deciding about company for their kids. They must see what type of boys or girls his son/daughter is mixing with and they must allow and encourage their children to mix only with those who are positive, careerist and serious about life.
The better one's company selection will be the easier one can make one's life.
