The prices of most of the shares on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw positive trend in early hours of trading amid see-saw on Thursday, the last trading day of the week. DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went up by 5.95 points or 0.13 per cent to stand at 4,346.42 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filed at 11am. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, gained 0.88 points or 0.05pc to reach 1,607.16 points. However DSE Shariah Index (DSES) lost 1.23 points or 0.12pc to stand at 998.67 points. The turnover value on DSE stood at Tk 267 million when the report was filed at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 101 advanced, 36 declined and 39 remain unchanged. Lafarge Surma Cement was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 64.49 million changing hands till then followed by ACI Limited, Beximco, United Airways and UCBL. The port city bourse – CSE – also saw positive trend at opening with its Selective Category Index -- CSCX – gaining 12.17 points to stand at 8,284.39 points, also at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 30 gained, 16 declined and 7 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 14.54 million.
