Christian leaders demand return of vested properties

Leaders of Bangladesh Christian Association (BCA) Thursday demanded return of vested properties to the owners or their heirs belonging to Christian and other communities by passing the 'Vested Property (Return) Act' at the Jatiya Sangsad. The leaders raised the demand at a press conference at the Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU) organised on the eve of National Conference-2011 of the Christian Association and Fourth Council of BCA, reports BSS. BCA Secretary General Nirmal Rojario announced the ten-point demand including declaration of Easter Sunday as a public holiday. BCA Vice-president Milon I Gomej, Joint Secretary General Dipok Piris, Finance Secretary James Subrata Hazra and Organising Secretary Prolay Samaddar Bappy were present at the press conference.
