Thursday, 25 September 2014

A local leader of Awami League came under bomb and gun attacks by some miscreants in Natudah Bazar under Damurhuda Upazila in Chuadanga district on Wednesday night. The attack left Aser Ali, 45, an AL leader of the Natudah union unit, injured by splinters of bombs and bullets. Police and locals said some miscreants fired shots and hurled four bombs at Yeas Nabi, the Upazila unit AL leader, when he was gossiping with 6/7 other local AL leaders, including Aser Ali at a tea stall around 8:30pm. Aser Ali and an unidentified man were injured as they received bullets and splinter wounds in the attacks. Aser was rushed to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital where his condition deteriorated early Thursday. He may be shifted to the capital for better treatment, said hospital sources, according to a private TV channel.
