Chuadanga, Tangail, Mymensingh road accidents kill four

A total of four persons were killed in separate road accidents in Chuadanga, Tangail and Mymensingh districts on Sunday, report agencies.
In Chuadanga, a speeding tractor crashed into a motorbike in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district, leaving two youths dead, said police on Sunday morning.
The deceased were identified as Nahid Hossain, 19, and Sweet, 25, both hailing from Puratan Bastabpur area of the upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Damurhuda police station Humayun Kabir said Nahid and Sweet were returning by the bike to Puratan Bastabpur from Ragunathpur after finishing some personal work on Saturday night.
At 11:30pm, the speeding tractor coming from the opposite direction rammed into the bike carrying the pair in front of a madrasha in the Bastabpur area, leaving them dead on the spot, said the OC.
The bodies were taken to the police station and would be handed over to the families upon completion of legal procedures, added the police official.
In Tangail, an auto-rickshaw driver was killed as a tractor hit his rickshaw in Kalia area under Basail upzila of the district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Bappi, 25, a resident of Sunya village under Kauljani Unior of the upazila.
The accident occurred on the Basail-Kauljani road around 10 am when a tractor hit the auto-rickshaw from opposite direction, leaving auto -rickshaw driver Bappi injured, Jalal Uddin, Officer-in-Charge of Basail Police Station said.
The injured was rushed to Basail Upazila Health Complex where he succumbed to his injuries.
In Mymensingh, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) was killed in a road accident in Mymensingh's Muktagacha upazila on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Md. Rustam Ali, 42, an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Muktagacha Police Station.
