Chulu West heroes accorded reception

A four- member team of Bangla Maintaining and Tracking Club (BMTC) in coordination with Mountain Dew has conquered the 21,059 feet high Chulu West of the Himalayas recently.
A press conference and a slide and video show of the expedition had been organised to congratulate their extremely dangerous and daring effort at the National Press Club in the city Friday, said a press release.
Eminent writer Dr Muhammad Jafar lqbal and Chairman of Transcom Group Latifur Rahman adorned the programme as the special guests while BMTC Chairman Enayet Ullah Khan presided over the event.
Antarctica and North Pole Expeditor Enam Al Huq greeted the heroes of the Chulu West. Executive Director of Transcom Beverages Ltd Golam Quddus Chowdhury and General Manager of Transcom Beverages Ltd Khurshid Irfan Chowdhury were also present at the conference, among others.
Under the leadership of Sajal Khaled, another three members of BMTC i.e. MA Muhit, Noor Muhammad, and Musa Ibrahim set out the journey to defy the vertical limit and extreme conditions of the treacherous mountain. At last the BMTC team reached the peak of Chulu West on May 16, 2007 at 8 am.
