CID grills ex-NSI director in Ctg arms haul case

CHITTAGONG, Nov 11 (BSS): The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today grilled former director of National Security Intelligence (NSI) Major General Enamur Rahman Chowdhury in the 10 Trucks Arms Haul Case.
Major General Enamur, currently serving at Bangladesh University of Professionals, was attached with the NSI as director while the huge caches of arms and ammunitions was offloaded and seized from the CUFL Jetty area on April 1 in 2004.
With quizzing of Mr Enamur, CID has completed interrogation of all the five members of the then high profile government committee including its chief, the then Home Secretary Omar Faruk.
The CID officials told the news agency here that the quizzing of Mr Enamur began at the CID's Dampara Police Line office at 10:30 am and continued until 4:30 pm.
Special Superintendent of CID and supervising official of extended inquiry Mohammad Muslim, Additional Superintendent of CID Sarwar Hossain and Investigation Officer of the case Moniruzzaman Chowdhury questioned Mr Enamur.
