CID recovers 29 rocket projectiles from city courier service office

Criminal Investigation Department (CID) seized 29 rocket projectiles from a courier service office in the city Wednesday. They detained three employees of the courier service for interrogation. A team of CID of Dhaka Metro Zone raided the office of Trans Air Express at 10/4 Arambagh at about 10pm Wednesday and recovered 29 rocket projectiles concealed inside some cartons. The team detained Rejaul Karim, Noor Alam and Kamruzzaman for interrogation. CID SS Kawser Ahmed Haideri told UNB that it was not confirmed immediately who sent the consignment or for whom. "It seems the recovered rocket projectiles are explosives in nature. We are investigating the matter," he said. —UNB
