CHITTAGONG, May 12 (BSS): Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Thursday filed a petition seeking 60 days more time for further comprehensive inquiry into the sensational 10 trucks arms and ammunition haul case. Investigation Officer (IO) of the case and senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of CID Mohammad Moniruzzaman submitted the time petition through Public Prosecutor (PP) Kamal Uddin. PP Kamal who submitted the time petition to Metropolitan Session Judge Shamsul Islam said the petition would be heard Sunday. With Thursday's one it is the 14th round of time extension petition for carrying out detailed investigation into the much-talked-about abortive but the country's biggest arms and ammunition smuggling case on April 1 in 2004. Earlier, the Metropolitan Session Judge in the 12th round of time petition expressed resentment over procrastination in the investigation process.
