CIMA, UK to help ICMAB in redesigning curriculum

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK recently.
President of the ICMAB Mohammed Salim and President of CIMA, UK Keith Luck signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutes at Archaeological Museum in Rome, Italy, said a statement.
Under the MoU, CIMA, UK will provide all out support to strengthening ICMAB's overall capacity for redesigning its course curriculum and examination system as per CIMA's standard.
CIMA, UK and ICMAB have also agreed to form a strategic alliance to open the door for mutual recognition and build talent capacity to support economic growth of Bangladesh. Both the organisations will undertake research works to make the management accounting education conducive to business and corporate governance in the country.
The statement also said that CIMA, UK will provide its study materials to ICMAB at a free of cost and train the trainers of ICMAB and under the mutual recognition scheme, the fellow members of ICMAB will appear only an integrated case study and associate members will appear two subjects in the strategic level with an integrated case study to get the membership of CIMA, UK.
Managing Director of CIMA Andrew Harding was present on the occasion, among others.
