'Citi Financial Quiz Competition 2008' launched

Citi Foundation, a philanthropic arm of Citibank NA, for the second time launched 'Citi Financial Quiz Competition 2008' programme through a press conference in the city Monday.
The competition was launched with a view to promoting financial education in Bangladesh, said a press release.
The competition is being supported by Citi Foundation and managed by Citibank, NA Bangladesh and North South University (NSU).
Channel I has joined the programme as partner organisation.
The programme was announced by a high-level advisory council, which was presided over by Vice Chancellor of the NSU Hafiz GA Siddiqui.
Managing Director and Citi Country Officer, Bangladesh Mamun Rashid along with other senior officials from Citibank was also present at the press conference.
A total of 16 business schools from public and private sector across the country, selected by the advisory council, will take part in the contest for the championship and runners up title.
Each member of the winning team will be awarded prize money of US$1000-equivalent and each runners up team member will get a prize money of $500-equivalent.
The entire competition will be televised by Channel I, the release added.
