Citi Foundation donates $25,000 for flood victims

Citi Foundation, the philanthropic wing of Citigroup, made a grant of US$ 25,000 to Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC) in aid of the victims of the recent devastating flood, reports UNB.
The contribution was made to BRAC, a non-government organisation, to mobilise emergency relief fund for areas in Bangladesh affected by recent heavy rains and to flooding and extend a helping hand to those in need.
BRAC's Emergency Relief Support to Flood Victims 2007 fund will be utilised to help flood victims in 11 districts of the country through distribution of food items, medicine, and by facilitating post-flood rehabilitation work.
Citibank Director and Head of Global Transaction Services Khondoker Rashed Maqsood recently handed over a cheque for $25,000 to BRAC Chairperson Fazle Hasan Abed for supporting their countrywide relief efforts.
