Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards ceremony tomorrow

The Award Giving Ceremony of 9th Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 06:45 pm at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the city. Mr. M. Abdul Mannan, MP, State Minister for Finance & Planning and Dr. Atiur Rahman, Governor of Bangladesh Bank will remain present as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively and present the awards. Chair of this event, Mrs. Rokia Afzal Rahman, President, Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) and member of the 9th CMA Advisory Council, along with Mr. Richard Tesvich, Managing Director and Regional Head of Corporate Affairs, Citi Asia Pacific will also remain present. For the ninth consecutive time, Citi Foundation has funded the Microentrepreneurship Awards program as part of Citi's ongoing commitment to the field of microfinance. The objective of the programme is to highlight the achievements of some of the most innovative microentrepreneurs in Bangladesh. The Microentrepreneurship Awards programme of Citi began in 2005, according to a statement issued by Citi NA Bangladesh. The effort is funded by Citi Foundation, philanthropic arm of Citigroup and managed by Citibank, N.A., Bangladesh in collaboration with Credit and Development Forum (CDF).
