Citibank opens service outlet at Adamjee EPZ

Citibank, NA Bangladesh Monday opened its new offshore banking unit (OBU) service office at Adamjee Export Processing Zone (EPZ), said a press release.
Commerce and Education Adviser Hossain Zillur Rahman inaugurated the service office as the chief guest in presence of Citibank Managing Director and Country Officer Bangladesh Mamun Rashid.
Citibank Senior Country Operations Officer (SCOO) Khawja Masum Billah along with its senior officials were also present on the occasion.
A large number of business leaders and senior officials specifically from export houses of EPZ attended the inaugural ceremony.
The office will allow Citibank to cater to the special banking needs of the business enterprises located at Adamjee EPZ more efficiently and contribute more towards the trade activities of the country.
The commerce adviser said, "Despite the global financial meltdown, Citibank is strongly committed to its clients while contribute to create a vibrant economy which is pleasing to note."
Mamun Rashid said Citibank would continue with its commitment to meet the increasing offshore banking needs of the business enterprises, especially the foreign investors in Bangladesh.
