Citibank, UCBL sign correspondent deal

Citibank, NA Bangladesh and United Commercial Bank Limited (UCBL) has recently signed a correspondent banking agreement, which will enable Citibanik to expand its distribution channel in the country.
The agreement will facilitate transactions of the valued clients of Citibank through the 84 branches of the UCBL across the country.
UCBL Executive Vice-president Md Ruhul Amin, and Citibank Director and Head of Global Transaction Services Khondoker Rashed Maqsood signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
UCBL Managing Director Hamidul Huq and Citibank Managing Director and Citigroup Country Officer-Bangladesh Mamun Rashid were present in the signing ceremony.
Also present in the ceremony were UCBL deputy managing directors Niaz Habib and AKM Kamal Uddin, and Citibank Director and its head of Financial Institution Mahbubur Rahman along with senior officials of both the banks.
