City Brokerage Limited appoints new CEO

Kh. Asadul Islam (Ripon) has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of City Brokerage Limited, which is wholly owned subsidiary of The City Bank Limited, said a press release.
Prior to his appointment as CEO, he held the position of Executive Vice President and Head of City brokerage of the bank since July 08, 2009.
Asadul Islam was the former CEO of IDLC Securities Limited and played a key role in setting up the company. He began his career with Premium Securities Limited, later moving to the renowned multinational investment bank Peregrine Capital Ltd, followed by a shift to the Union Capital Limited (UCL).
In 2002, he became the director of SES Company Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of UCL. He has participated in numerous seminars and training programmes related to the operations and development of the capital market, at both the national and international level.
