City IT 2009 Fair tenure extended

FE Report | Friday, 6 March 2009

The ongoing 'City IT 2009 Computer Fair' at Agargaon in the city has been extended by a single day due to the restriction of movement by the visitors on account of carnage at the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) Headquarters in the capital, organisers said Wednesday.

The nine-day fair which opened on February 26, the second day of the two-day border guards' mutiny in Pilkhana which killed over 50 high-ranked army officials and five civilians, was due to end Friday.

But ASM Abdul Muktadir, convener of the fair committee, said the time of the fair has been extended considering early closure of the fair on the inauguration day and the demands both from buyers and sellers.
