City Mayor launches road carpeting works in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Mar 28 (BSS): Mayor of Rangpur City Corporation (RCC) and valiant freedom fighter Alhaj Sarfuddin Ahmed Jhantu inaugurated road carpeting works at a ceremony at Kamal Kachhna area in the city on Friday afternoon.
City Councilors Nurunnabi Fulu (Ward No-25), Hafiz Ahmed Chhuttu (Ward No-26), President of District Crockery Association Ali Hossain Mollah, Joint Secretary of City Shop Owners' Association Moazzem Hossain Mithu attended the ceremony.
After inaugurating the road carpeting works, the City Mayor directed all concerned for timely completion of the ongoing infrastructural development works in the city ensuring the best quality works with maximum transparency and accountability.
He said that the city dwellers would definitely enjoy huge benefits as the traffic-jam situation would improve significantly in future after completion of the massive infrastructural development works being conducted now in the city.
The city corporation has been implementing the road carpeting works under the phase-wise construction packages of 142 separate roads, drains, culverts, drainage systems and other works under 142 groups at Tk 330 million (33 crore) in the city from own resources.
