City road crash kills woman

A passenger bus knocked down a 45-year-old woman in Pragoti Sarani area under Vatara thana in the city on Tuesday, reports BSS.
Duty officer of the thana Swapna confirmed that the woman Jarina Begum (45), suffered fatal injuries as the bus hit her while crossing the road. She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where attending doctors pronounced her dead.
Jarina was heading toward her village home in Sadullahpur Upazila of Gaibandha district while the accident took place.
Police said they seized the bus and sent the body to hospital morgue. A case was filed in this connection.
