Civil Service Act soon: PM

The ‘Civil Service Act’ will be passed soon to reform Bangladesh’s public administration and make it ‘efficient and service-oriented’, the prime minister has said. Sheikh Hasina on Sunday said a draft of the Act has already been prepared. ‘We’ll enact it as soon as possible. It’ll be pushed through the Parliament,’ she said. Hasina was speaking at the closing ceremony of 56th basic training course at the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC). ‘We have taken steps to reform and create an efficient and service-oriented public administration,’ she added, according to bdnews24.com.
