Clash over Ha-do-do game leaves 27 injured in Jhenidah

JHENIDAH, Nov 14: A total of 27 villagers including women were injured in a clash occurred out of a conflict between two groups at Ha-do-do event at Badpukuria village under Sadar Upazila in Jhenidah recently.
Officer- in-charge (OC) Rafikul Islam of Sadar police station said, a clash between two villages was occurred Monday afternoon in the Ha-do-do game. A day later Tuesday morning the villagers of Shahebnagar and Badpukuria engaged into fierce clash again over the incident Monday. They used spears, iron rods and batons in the clash which left 27 injured.
The injured from Badpukuria village are Rabiul Islam Sabuj, Azad, Abdul Khalek and his wife, Esharat Ali, Nasir Uddin, Shahjahan Siraj, Munsur Ali, Hanif, Ramjan, Fulbanu, Ashirun, Tahura, Sabirun, Abul Hossain, Kalam, Hazrat Ali, Abdur Rahim and the injured from Shahebnagar village are Feroz, Julhaq, Alauddin and Din Mohammad.
On information, Riot police and Rab-6 rushed to the spot and dispersed the mob.
