Clash over house demarcation kills woman in Sylhet

A woman was killed in a clash between two groups over demarcation of their houses at Mahidpur village in Jakiganj upazila of Sylhet district on Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as Hajera Begum, 32, wife of Habibur Rahman, a resident of the village. Police said there had been a longstanding dispute between Habibur Rahman and Abdul Wahid of the village over demarcating the boundary of their houses. Two groups engaged in a clash over the dispute around 7:00pm. They attacked each other with sharp weapons, leaving Hajera critically injured. She was rushed to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital where the doctor declared her dead on arrival, according to UNB.
