Class-1 gazetted officer status for teachers

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education Affairs has recommended class-1 gazetted-officer status for the eligible secondary school teachers. Rashed Khan Menon MP, Chairman of the committee, spoke about the step as the demand was reiterated at a function of the city's Motijheel Government Boys' High School Tuesday that the assistant teachers be accorded this status to upgrade their position.
