Cleaning worker killed in city road crash

A cleaning worker of Dhaka South City Corporation was killed as a speeding vehicle ran over him in Gulistan in the city on Tuesday. The dead is Md Joinal, 42, son of Kala Miah of City Colony at Dhaka’s Gabtoli. Hospital sources said a speeding Laguna (human hauler) ran over Joinal when he was cleaning the road in front of Mahanagar Natyangan and fled the scene. Critically injured, Joinal was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, according to a news agency.
