Clothes for Sidr-hit people exempted from customs duty

Friday, 14 December 2007

The government has exempted clothes, that will be imported for the country's Sidr-affected people, from customs duty. The factory owners at the export processing zones (EPZ) will also enjoy the exemption in case they donate clothes to the cyclone-hit people. Foods, food grains, medicines, tube-wells, seeds and the likes are exempted from customs duty. — UNB
