CMCCI for commercial court in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Apr 8: Chittagong Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry has demanded a separate commercial court in Chittagong to settle business-related cases.
In a letter to Chittagong district judge, vice president of the CMCCI AM Mahbub Chowdhury said 90 per cent of the country's exports and imports were being done through the Chittagong Port which is also the commercial capital of the country.
Most of the shipping business, indenting business, freight forwarding business, transportation of cargo, auction sale of the port's cargo, inland container depots and other activities are done in Chittagong. Most of the heavy industries are located in the city.
