CMP launches digital services for city dwellers

CHITTAGONG, Jun 30 (BSS): Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) launched Monday three digital services including mobile application for the city residents with a view to making police services more accessible.
CMP Commissioner Mohammad Shafiqul Islam inaugurated three technology-based services at his office.
The services are: mobile application, vehicle theft and recovery database and digital surveillance camera across the city.
CMP launched the services with basic objectives to detect criminals, reduce crimes, detect and recover stolen vehicles and ease the growing traffic congestion.
CMP Commissioner said the city is being brought under surveillance with close circuit cameras in order to counter crimes and handle traffic on the roads.
