Coach, captain of U-23 team expect good tournament

Bangladesh under-23 football team head coach Lodewijk de Kruif said he is hopeful about his team's satisfactory performance in the AFC U-23 Championship qualifiers 2016 scheduled to be held on March 27-31 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city, reports BSS.
"We have come here after 14 days training ... the present team are doing very good job ... the tournament which we are going to take part next week have two more strong opponents. I request all not to expect much from us in the tournament though India are equally strong side compare to us."
Assistant coach Saiful Bari Titu said playing international tournament is a big experience to them and their main motto will be to take concept about their rivals.
Bangladesh U-23 captain Raihan Hasan said their preparation is good and they are aiming to finish runners-up. The first match is very important and they want to make a good start.
India will take on Uzbekistan at 4 pm while hosts Bangladesh face strong Syria at 6 pm in the group E opening day's fixture.
