Coast Guards seize dredger

Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard detained a dredger along with seven crewmen from Sambhupur in the Meghna River under Sonargaon police station in Narayanganj district Thursday on charge of illegally lifting sand.
A team of Coast Guard from Pagla station detained the dredger ‘Al Joynal Dredging project-1’ during its regular patrol at about 11am.
The detained crewmen are-- Ali Akkas, Saddam Hossain, Hafiz, Nazmul Haque, Selim, Enayet Hossain and Delwar, according to a news agency.
