Coats Bangladesh MD retires

Shafiq Uz Zaman, the first Bangladeshi Managing Director of Coats Bangladesh Ltd. (a subsidiary of Coats plc of UK) will be retiring tomorrow (February 15) after serving the company for more than 20 years since its inception in Bangladesh.
He was the Managing Director of the company for 8 years.
Fondly known as Shafiq Bhai in the garment export sector, he joined Coats, then known as Tootal Thread, at the time of it's inception in Bangladesh in December 1989 as its Sales & Marketing Head.
