Cold spell paralyses life in Natore

Thursday, 22 December 2011

Our Correspondent NATORE, Dec 21: Normal life has been seriously disrupted due to shivering cold coupled with blowing cold wind in six upazilas under Natore district for the last few days. Thousands of poor people both in town and rural areas are facing a very hard time. They cannot manage two meals a day let alone warm clothes to protect themselves from the biting cold. In the upazilas, a large number of poor people who have no house are passing their days and nights in different places, including railway stations. Most of them do not have warm clothes to protect themselves. The shopping centres in the town are seen closed early at night. People of the town hurry back home as early as possible to avoid the winter chill.
