Cold weather improves

People across the country have got relief as the intensity of severe cold decreased due to the appearance of the sun since Sunday morning, reports BSS. An official of Met Office told the news agency that the country experienced severe cold during the last 10 days as the sun was not visible due to thick fog, which was largely responsible for the biting cold. He said that the sky will remain clear during the next few days and sunny weather will continue across the country. Mild cold wave will sweep the northern and southwestern regions of the country within the next few days, the official said adding that despite the cold wave, the intensity of cold in the country will decrease as sunny weather will continue. The Met Office recorded Sunday's lowest temperature at 7.6 degrees Celsius in Ishwardi and 12.4 degrees in Dhaka city. The Met Office sources said the temperature was recorded at 8.3 degrees Celsius at Dinajpur, 8.2 degrees Celsius at Syedpur, 9.3 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and 9.4 degrees Celsius at Bogra, 9.2 at Jessore and 8.3 at Chudanga.
