College girl among three killed in city road accidents

Three people, including a college girl, were killed and another was critically injured in separate road accidents in the city Friday. Police said Farjana Yasmin Munira (24), a 2nd year honours student of Dhanmondi City College, died on the spot and her classmate, Liza, was critically injured when a covered van hit their rickshaw near Mouchak Market. In Hatirpool area, Hasina Begum (30), a garment worker, was killed after being knocked down by a covered van at the CR Dutta road. Yet in another accident near Kamalapur Railway Station, minor boy Apurba (4), son of Salim Mia of Uttar Kamalapur, was crushed under the wheels of a passenger bus at about 1:00pm. — UNB
