College girl dies drinking \\\'Vesmol Oil\\\' in city

A female college student, who drank 'Vesmol Oil' last night at their Bhatara residence, succumbed to her injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Saturday morning, police and hospital sources said, reports BSS.
Police said the deceased was identified as Lamia Tawfim Uma (17), a first year student of South Point School and College in capital's Baridhara area.
He used to live with her parents at Solmait under Bhatara police station. She was an inhabitant of Doyapur village of Bagarpara in Jessore.
"She was undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital since 9.00 pm Friday night as she drank the 'Vesmol Oil', hair oil, bought from a nearby shop. She died at 5.00 am Saturday morning," deceased's mother Shahnaj Parveen Lipi told the news agency.
Reason behind the incident remained still unknown, she added in an emotion chocked voice at DMCH. An UD (unnatural death) case was lodged with Bhatara police station in this connection.
