College girl killed in Jhenidah road crash

A college girl was killed and her mother and brother were injured as a truck crashed into their motorbike in Jhenidah Sadar Upazila on Friday. The deceased was identified as Tushi Khatun, 21, a fourth year student of Jhenidah Government College and daughter of Matiul Islam of Kumiradah village in Shailakupa Upazila of the district. Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Hasan Hafizur Rahman said the speedy truck hit the motorcycle in Kodalia Munshipara area around 10:30am when Tushi along with her mother and brother Rajib was going to Hatgopalpur from their village by the bike, leaving the college girl dead on the spot and the two others injured. The injured were admitted to a local hospital. Police seized the truck and arrested its driver, the OC added, according to a news agency.
